Liposuction & Fat Removal

Liposuction is a surgical procedure designed to reshape the body by removing localized fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is not a weight-loss method, but rather a powerful tool to sculpt the body and redefine its proportions in a precise and long-lasting way.

Liposuction is performed through small skin incisions, where fine cannulas are inserted and connected to a suction device. Excess fat is gently removed from the treated areas. Depending on the case, traditional liposuction or more advanced techniques may be used (liposculpture, vibration-assisted liposuction, power-assisted liposuction, etc.).

  • Permanent reduction of localized fat
  • Harmonious reshaping of body contours
  • Improved silhouette and proportions
  • Smoother and more even skin surface
  • Natural and personalized result
  • Abdomen
  • Flanks (“love handles”)
  • Thighs (inner and outer)
  • Buttocks
  • Knees
  • Arms
  • Back
  • Neck and under-chin (in selected cases)

The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of treatment. It lasts between 1 and 3 hours. Patients may go home the same day or stay overnight for monitoring. A compression garment must be worn for several weeks after surgery.

Swelling and bruising are normal and typically resolve within 10–21 days.
Results become visible after a few weeks, with final results stabilizing between 3 and 6 months.
Outcomes are long-lasting, provided that the patient’s weight remains stable.

  • Stubborn fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise
  • Disproportionate body contours
  • Desire for a slimmer and more defined silhouette
  • Not suitable for obesity or overall weight loss

Does liposuction help with weight loss?

No. Liposuction is not a weight-loss technique but a body-contouring procedure that targets localized fat.

Can the fat come back?

Fat cells that are removed do not regenerate. However, weight gain can lead to new fat accumulation in other areas, so maintaining a stable weight is important.

Are the scars visible?

No. The incisions are very small (a few millimeters) and strategically placed, making scars almost invisible over time.

Is there any downtime?

Yes. A compression garment must be worn for 3–6 weeks. Mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising are expected and will gradually subside.
