Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery is a procedure designed to remove excess breast tissue, fat, and skin to achieve smaller, lighter, and more proportionate breasts. It is often chosen by women who suffer from back pain, shoulder grooves, postural issues, or discomfort caused by overly large breasts.

Under deep sedation, the surgeon removes excess glandular tissue and skin, reshapes the breast, and repositions the nipple to a higher, more natural position. The goal is to reduce breast size while maintaining a harmonious, lifted shape. The procedure usually takes 2.5 to 3.5 hours and may include the use of drains for the first 24–48 hours.

  • Reduces breast volume and weight
  • Relieves back, neck, and shoulder pain
  • Improves posture and mobility
  • Enhances breast shape and symmetry
  • Makes clothing and bras fit more comfortably
  • Improves overall body proportions and confidence

Mild swelling, bruising, and temporary discomfort are common in the first days. A compression bra will be worn for several weeks. Recovery varies from person to person, but most patients return to work and social life after 1–2 weeks. Final results become more defined after a few months, once healing is complete.

Is breast reduction only for medical reasons?

No. While many patients seek relief from physical discomfort, breast reduction also provides significant aesthetic and emotional benefits.

Will my breasts be lifted too?

Yes. Breast reduction also includes reshaping and lifting the breasts, resulting in a more youthful and balanced appearance.

Can I breastfeed after breast reduction?

Breastfeeding may still be possible, but it depends on the surgical technique used and individual anatomy. This should be discussed during your consultation.

Will there be visible scars?

Yes, but they are placed strategically and tend to fade over time. Scar quality depends on individual healing and proper post-operative care. Most patients find the relief and aesthetic results far outweigh the concern of scarring.

How do I pay for my treatment?
